Delete your account
Everything held for you goes, at once, with nothing kept back
If the app is still on your phone, this takes one tap and happens immediately. You do not need this page.
In the app
Open the menu, then your account, and choose Delete account. It asks once and then it is done.
If the app is already gone
Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and say you want your account deleted. It is done by hand, usually the same day and always within seven days, and you get a reply when it is.
Write from the address on the account if you can. If you cannot, say which address it was and we will write to that one first, because the alternative is letting a stranger delete somebody else's reading.
What goes
| Your email address | Removed |
|---|---|
| Your marks | Every bookmark, note, ribbon, khatm and reading day held for you. Removed |
| Every signed in device | Removed, so nothing can sync again |
| Any sign in code still live | Removed |
There is no grace period, no archive and no backup that outlives it. There is nothing else held: no name, no phone number, no location, no payment details and no advertising identifier, because none of it was ever collected. The privacy page lists everything there is.
Some of it, rather than all of it
You do not have to delete the account to get rid of something. Every bookmark and every note can be removed on its own, in the app, and it goes from the server too. Any signed in device can be removed from the account page, which signs that device out and leaves the rest alone.
If you want something removed and cannot reach it yourself, ask at [email protected] and say what. Same reply, same seven days.
What stays
Whatever is on your own devices is yours and is not touched. Deleting the account removes what is held for you on the server; a phone with the app on it keeps its own reading until you delete the app or clear it yourself.
If you want a copy first, Reading settings writes everything you have made into one file you keep. Do that before you delete, not after.
